Costas Antonellos
Antonellos was born in Cephalonia in 1934 and moved to Athens in the same year.Primary School - St. Eleftherios, Areos. Gymnasium - Lyceum - Ambelokipi. Studied art under T. Drosos and C.Christides, two artists with enormous intellectual and artistic merit, both disciples of the Munich School. He learnt to paint in the traditional way, with brush and canvas and will always stay with this. The light and colour of Greece and Cyprus and their disappearing world, are important sources of his inspiration. On returning to Athens he had some exhibitions and then left for Johannesburg, South Africa.
